  1. Help: New addresses                                                 17.03.93
  2. Here you can list the data of all new addresses.

  4. While the data files of parameters, groups, controlled
  5. connections and pulsars are shown as pure textfiles
  6. (only a headline with the parameternames is inserted),
  7. the address data is show as a table.

  9. ≤These fields are shown for each address:≥
  10. - the hardware address,
  11. - the amount of the received packets at that day,
  12. - the corresponding number for the sent packets,
  13. - the maximum measured loadindex,
  14. - the point in time of the first appearance (as
  15.    sending station on this day) and
  16. - the point in time of the last appearance.

  19. ≤Sorting≥ (command: ⌠O⌡):
  20.  - for hardwareaddresses  (⌠H⌡, default mode),
  21.  - for received packets   (⌠E⌡),
  22.  - for sent packets       (⌠G⌡),
  23.  - for the load index     (⌠L⌡),
  24.  - for the time of first occurence at this day (⌠R⌡)  and
  25.  - for the time of last occurence (⌠T⌡).

  27. ≤Searching≥ (command: ⌠S⌡):
  28. An unique substring of the entry to search is sufficient.
  29. If you use upper case letters only upper case will match,
  30. if you input lower case letters the case in the searched
  31. words does not matter.
  32. ⌠?⌡-characters are allowed as wildcards. These replace
  33. exactly one character.

  36. ≤Integrating new addresses into the list of known addresses:≥
  37. You can choose up to 50 addresses through <Enter>. By
  38. <Escape> you leave the list and you are asked, whether you
  39. would like to take over the marked addresses in the list of
  40. the known addresses. If this question is affirmed, Net-Control
  41. examines first of all, whether there are addresses, which were
  42. marked now, but are already in the file of the known addresses.
  43. Equal addresses are not inserted twice; the old entry is always
  44. overwritten. If there are already addresses in the list of known
  45. addresses you are asked, whether you want to transfer the
  46. corresponding entries and overwrite the old ones.
